P Fischer [2006] Fischer, Andrzej, et. al., Polskich Znaków Pocztowych, Tom II, 2006, Firma Handlowo-Uslugowa Andrzej Fischer [FHU], Bytom & Kraków, PL.

Fischer is now the most widely-quoted Polish stamp catalog. Tom II covers locals, POW issues and other back-of-the-book material. Przedbórz in on pp 43-44. (et al refers to the 35+ experts, editors, etc. who are listed on the inside title page.)

G Głuszek [unknown date] Głuszek, J. U., J. Heesakker, P. Krzyzanowski, Spezial Katalog Lokal-Stadt-Post, 1914-1918, Arnheim, NL, sometime after 1960. This seems to be volume six of a seven-volume typewritten series self-published by Głuszek. We assume this is published after 1960, because volume one covers Polish general issues from 1860-1960. He covers a lot of Warsaw issues, but I don't know enough to comment on accuracy, completeness, etc.

Kronenberg sees other ways to classify forgeries. He also believed that some of the forgeries were printed at Pański, but the Filatelista editors say this is not the accepted view in Poland. His 4 gr. and 6 gr. Issue IIA stamps seem to be F3's here and in Blunt. Translation courtesy of Stan Wlodek.

G [Rundschau 1919]

"Stadtpost Przedborz" in Rundschau für Briefmarken-Sammler und -Händler, Koch & Bitriol, publishers, Nov.-Dec. 1919, pp 13a, 13b. First printed descriptions of genuine and forged stamps, and first printed statements supporting many later writers, including Petriuk. The article was supposed to be continued in the Jan-Feb 1920 issue, but we don't know if that happened. See a PDF.

G,E [Schroeder 1949, 1954] Schroeder, Arthur, Schach den Fälschungen (1949); also published as "Forgeries of the Polish Locals", Polonus Issue 120 (March-April 1954), pp. 120-2 to 120-4. (Translated by John Gapinski.) (The 1949 article might be the first to identify different types of forgeries, but only for the 1st issue, however.)
G [Senf 1918] Gebrüder Senf– "Warnung!" (about Przedborz forgeries) IBJ, Vol. 45, Nr. 22 (16 November 1918), pg. 244 (I believe Verlag von Gebrüder Senf was the publisher.)
G [Senf 1919] Gebrüder Senf– "Die Fäschungen der I. Ausgabe der Stadtpostmarken von Przedborz", IBJ 1919 #4, pg. 63. I was unaware of this document until my friend Hagen Hanke sent to me in October 2010. It is apparently the first published description of how to separate forgeries from genuine Eagle (1st issue) stamps. I will include more after I translate the article.

2. At this writing (24 Nov. 2014), I don't know much about Glass Slipper and Associates. My copy of Peryferie #1 arrived today and included a letter from Andrew Hall dated 27 November 1992. The masthead lasts "Revenues, Locals, Telegraphs, Forgeries, Phantoms, Perfins, Cinderellas (hence Glass Slipper), Exhibitions, Poster Stamps, Patriots and Thematics". (Peryferie seems to be Polish for Periphery, which seems to be the unifying theme behind this list of categories.)

The letter gives me the image that Andrew Hall, Tony Hall, Frank Wilson, and possibly others, were the "Associates," dealing in the above categories of philately, and planning to publish a subscription-based series of quarterly handbooks. See a partial listing of other Alnis Guides.
